General information
Articles on this site describe ideas, measurements, products, and techniques that suit many homes, but every home is different. Room sizes, building rules, local codes, and personal needs vary. Before you start a project, check that the idea suits your home, your lease or building rules, and your budget. When a project involves electricity, plumbing, gas, structural changes, or heavy wall mounting, hire a qualified professional.
We work to keep measurements, prices, and facts accurate, and we update articles when we find mistakes. Prices and product availability change often, so please confirm the current price and specifications with the retailer before you buy. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or for any loss or damage that results from using information on this site.
